California's passage of Proposition 8, stripping marriage rights to gay couples, has sparked a clash of sorts between the gay and Mormon communities. The gays are protesting a perceived injustice by sending faux anthrax to the Mormons who, in turn, want all gays publicly drawn, quartered and jettisoned into outer space to be cleansed by spirit babies and Joseph Smith.Of course, sitting on the sidelines of all this is God. Historically someone not to mess with, God has demonstrated a proclivity for wiping the slate clean and starting over. Just ask the good people of Sodom & Gomorrah.
Frankly, I'm with God on this one. The two sides deserve each other. And to all the innocent people in Yorba Linda, don't look back on the way out of town.
