From The Bench - 12/12/08

"By the time of the sanctions hearing on May 23, Ms. Schauffler had conceded her mishandling of the discovery in this matter. That concession is perhaps aptly summarized by Ms. Schauffler's opening comments at the May 23 hearing:

When I was preparing for today I thought I'd make a list of the things that our firm have [sic] done wrong, but I have such an extensive list I thought maybe I could make a list of the things our firm has done right, and I was hesitant to really find much we had done right.

That is an understatement. "
